Surge sent two teams to Miami to compete in the 2017 IGLA Championships.

From 26-30 May 2017, Surge sent two teams stateside to go up against teams from around the world for the IGLA Championships as part of the World OutGames - having previously won gold in the last World Outgames (Antwerp 2013).

 

Even with the last minute twist of the OutGames cancelling formal competition, IGLA still held the championships and Surge put up a valiant effort. While we didn’t bring home the gold, our team in the traditional ‘Pink Flamingos’ came third  as judged by the one and only Bianca Del Rio!
